Senior Design Engineer

Retirement of our Design Engineer has left us with the need to recruit a Senior Design Engineer within our Elgin Factory.

Role Responsibilities:

• Design of hydraulic cylinders and ancillary products
• Create final product General Arrangements drawings and child part drawings using SolidWorks Auto CAD drawing package
• Create bills of materials associated with final product
• Produce final product costings for quote purposes
• Act as the Technical lead for all Engineering issues internally and with customers
• Manage the workload of the Engineering Draughtsman
• Manage and maintain documented records for the Design Control and Engineering Change processes to comply with the companies ISO 9001:2015 standard

Preferred Knowledge and Experience:

• Understand hydraulic cylinder design principles
• Experienced with SolidWorks Auto CAD
• Ability to communicate electronically and verbally complex technical specifications both internally and with customers / suppliers
• Understand manufacturing techniques and processes

Standard 40 hr week, Mon -Thu 8am to 5pm, Friday 8am to 2.10pm.
