The ability to draw down from our own high stocks provides the company with a strong competitive edge and flexibility in its production. Allowing us to act fast to our customers changing needs.
We maintain high stock levels of tube and chrome rod to suit our standard ranges of 25 to 180mm bore cylinders. Chrome bar is purchased in 6 metre lengths and safeguarded at all times throughout the production process by cardboard protective tubes. We hold in stock, Induction Hardened, CK45 and 20NMV6 chrome bar, at a variety of chrome thicknesses. Induction hardened chrome plated piston rods can be supplied with a diameter range of 16mm to 100mm.
For high salt exposure applications or marine quality cylinders, stainless steel chrome plated, or chrome on bronze is also available from stock.
ST52 DOM smooth bore tubing is used in our range of telescopic cylinders. The DOM tubing ensures that there is high concentricity between the outside diameter and the bore; thus allowing tolerances to be kept very tight and improving the quality of the cylinder.
For double acting cylinders used in industrial and higher-grade requirements, skived and roller burnished tube is used. Both DOM and C.D.S are available from stock.
Through use of our own skiver roller burnishing machine, all weldments to the cylinder can be fitted before processing the tube on the machine, removing any possibility of ovality.
Our in-house seal store stocks a wide variety of seals across an extensive range of sizes and grades to meet varied needs and enabling us to offer same day despatch on many spare and service parts orders.
